Alteration services & pricing
Alterations have a one-hour minimum per garment. Additional time is billed in 15-minute increments. Juliette will provide an estimated price before work begins and will contact you for approval if unexpected work or additional time is needed. Specialty materials are priced separately.
The time needed depends on the garment, fabric, construction, and requested changes. Complex pieces, lace, beading, and multiple layers may require additional time.
The story behind the stitches
Juliette Lovoy is a Birmingham, Alabama native who now resides in Mississippi. Her love for sewing and creating began in middle school, when she first discovered the craft in home economics. Since then, she has collected sewing machines and developed a deep appreciation for sewing as a beautiful, often-lost art.
Today, Juliette brings that lifelong passion to every alteration and embroidery project. With a careful eye for fit and detail, she approaches each piece with skill, thoughtfulness, and genuine care.

Prices are per item unless otherwise noted and include one standard embroidery design or monogram. Additional designs or embroidery placements are $10 each. Specialty materials and unusually complex designs may require a custom quote.

Alterations are available by appointment only. Please contact Juliette before bringing an item. Fittings take place at Juliette’s home in Starkville, and a drop-off can be arranged in advance when needed.
Most projects are completed within one week. Please allow up to two weeks, depending on the item and Juliette’s current workload.
Customers are welcome to provide their own clothing, linens, bags, towels, or other items for embroidery.
Shipping is available when needed, and customers are responsible for all shipping costs. Juliette accepts Venmo, cash, or check.
